What a great set of entries we had for our competition! There were four qualifying pieces and all were great – one other outstanding entry had to be disqualified for being too long, sorry Dave! You can read them all here. Winner of the best natural world story category The winner of the best natural world story category is Jan Phillips with her delightful tale of an encounter with a lively family of stoats. Well done Jan! We particualrly enjoyed the way you talked about your garden, it sounds great. The Runner-up (and winner of glory but no prize) is Old Man Rich for his hilarious and rather scary story of a startling African encounter. You did have a pee before you went back into the tent, didn’t you, Rich? Winner of the link to The Rangers Blog category The randomly chosen winner of the link category was selected from the three eligible entrants by drawing a paper from The Ranger’s hat. The winner is is Chris from the Making Our Meadow Blog. Congratulations, Chris! Your prizes will be on their way to you soon.
