Yes, in Holland the wind farm debate is just getting going – after 200 years of windmills they’ve had enough. An article on Newsbiscuit reports:
Environmentalists in Holland are calling for the demolition of the country’s famous windmills which they describe as’hideous eyesores that ruin the featureless Dutch countryside.’
They go on to report on a radical compromise in the UK that
…will pacify rural conservationists while still using windfarms to generate electricity.
Sounds almost unbelievable, doesn’t it?
