A new wildlife photo competition for the United Kingdom

Here’s a great competition for all you upcoming photographers. The British Wildlife Photography Awards will be accepting entries from photographers of all ages and nationalities from 2nd April through to the closing date of 31st July 2009.

It’s an entirely new competition, for images of British species and habitats. The BWPA comes backed by some prestigious names – so we’re expecting to see some remarkable images come out of it. Judges include Sue Herdman, the National Trust’s magazine editor; Isla Robertson, from the National Trust for Scotland’s photolibrary; and Greg Armfield, who is Head of Photography for WWF.
